Analyst, Merchandise Planning

The holder of this position has the responsibility of elaborating both financial and budget reports regarding the sales performance of the boutique network, as well as conduct analysis that will allow for appropriate in-house decision-making that involves the planning of product lines purchases of his designated markets.

More precisely, he will:

• Prepare and analyse data in order to determine a budget plan according to line, category, fragrance and skus, stock rotation, boutique profile and all other analysis or measures necessary to the planning and distribution teams;
• Produce different reports toward the projection of in-boutique purchases (monthly plans) as well as rebate and liquidation strategies;
• Follow-up on each boutique’s monthly inventory plan;
• On a weekly basis, review plan in relation to sales performance, products’ markdown and margin and recommend actions if necessary;
• On an ongoing basis, collect and analyse information and feedback regarding boutique’s promotional activities;
• Act as the resource person to Product Managers and their assistants in order to generate the products and offers according to established plans;
• Be the main reference regarding the weekly plan follow-up per product line and make sure a thorough follow-up of sales performance, profits and adjustments is carried out in order to achieve plan realization.

• Bachelor (or equivalent) of Operations Management, Mathematics, Statistics or other applicable field;
• 2 to 5 years applicable experience, preferably supply and demand management or operations management;
• Knowledge of the retail business and/or planning and distribution is essential;
• Demonstrate good analysis and synthesis skills;
• Decision-making and problem –solving abilities;
• Flexibility and at ease in an ever-changing environment;
• Excellent command of Excel – advanced computer, database and spreadsheet programs skills;
• Bilingual, spoken and written;
• Any combination of equivalent training and/or competence will be taken into consideration.
